Hyperbole is also addictive. And dangerous.

And here I thought it was high fructose corn syrup? ” We intercepted a shipment today. 20 tons of pure China White. Sugar.” Thud.

Well I don’t know about the addictive properties of sugar but if sugar junkies need a fix they no more have to commit crimes than someone jonesing for a cigarette. Although smokes are ~10 bux a pack I don’t see many nicotine fiends robbing people. The prohibition of drugs makes it valuable which causes most of the crime. They don’t pump food full of sugar, salt and fat because they like you. If manufacturers could still put coke and heroin in the food they would do that as well. Diabetes is a national health problem of epic proportions. Yet I’ve seen a study on Lunchables for children that contained a quarter cup of sugar. Negative externalities. Something that corporate moochers expect the taxpayers and health insurance customers to pick up the cost for.

He didn’t say it was the most addictive drug, he said it was the most dangerous.
